Jim Henson's Emmet Otter
Emmet Otter opened on December 5th, and my time in the show passed way too quickly! Our
final show was on the 3rd of January, and I can't wait to watch it play elsewhere in the future. Emmet is a wonderful show
for the whole family, and there's something in it for everyone. You will laugh, you will cry, and this show is a perfect example
of holiday spirit! Especially for those of you that have seen the original HBO special, this show is very nostalgic and will
bring back a lot of holiday memories. We have incredible puppeteers, who
amaze me at how they can create such beautiful characters with so much depth. As my friend and fellow performer James said,
"we create these little puppet souls, and the puppets really have minds of their own." I have developed my own personal
relationship with each and every puppet, and they all know how to make me laugh :) Puppetry is such an incredible art, and
I'm so lucky to have been able to work with some of the best puppeteers and watch them work their magic!
I was
so fortunate to work with such a special company, and I owe much gratitude to them for one of the best holidays yet! Check
out some of the press photos from our run!
Here's a shout-out to my amazingly supportive family, friends,
and teachers. Y'all are the best! Lots of love,
Meg♥
